Does Spam Take Over Your Life
The majority of the population use email. Over the last 15 years Spam has continued to grow enormously. I have discovered through trial and error that there are a lot of different classes of email.
Everyday was spent clearing out spam? DO people do that these days? The answer is apparently yes. People still spend the first part of their email checking clearing out spam and unsolicited emails. Spam is never ending and will take up your day. They get email each time. Whatever way the email is received, some of it will be spam. Have you worked out yet how many hours of your life goes on this?
The hosting account usually provides email on the same server. I am not sure you would ever need a 100 email accounts. The less the better, otherwise you have more to check and more spam to clear.
How can this problem be solved? How would you spend the free time created by a better email management process? Lets look at the evolution of my experience.
Year 1-5 - 1999 - 2004 - My god, where have all these emails come from…..numerous time spent clearing out the cash advances, penis extension, viagra pills and many others.
7+ now becoming of age. even though your business image will suffer, gmail is a good spam catcher.
So, back to my business domain, I have 2 choices. 1 get a service that cleans the email before it arrives in my inbox. It appears to be the best way forward. It is not everything I need though. My email needs to be available on any browser. Its a 3rd party service, so it goes to their servers for cleaning then back to me. An offering of a webmail service makes the difference. Do you want easy access anywhere, then look at IMAP. Your handheld, notebook your place of work and your mates machine. The best set up is to access email from anywhere and have the same account.
Our recruitment software vendor made us aware of that. It comes with a decent webmail interface and IMAP and POP access. It is just what I needed. 24/7 live support t your fingertips is provided. Over 3.5 million mailboxes under their management. So, I bet you are thinking, wow, this is going to be pricey. For a dollar a month per account. They do the onlinemanaged exchange if you insist.
I was disapointed with exchange as it had no search. The search was not present, although it looked like outlook. It is also a lot more expensive.
What is your time worth? Do not lose it on spam clearing. Relax with a managed service. Companies who specialise in just mail are the right choice. If you choose a specialist, you get a specialist.
